Jayme Metz

         Creating art allows me to have fun and explore my emotions and passions.  In the future I will continue to explore myself through my art.  I love art and can see myself continuing it for the rest of my life.  

      When starting a project I look into what I find interesting at the moment.  I ask myself , what can I explore or explain?  When I find find that thing I sketch out my ideas, as many as I can think of, be it on homework, notes, classwork, or just in my sketchbook.  Next I start to create the form, as my art starts to take shape I look into and take out what takes away from my message or the artwork. Then I finish up my piece and experiment.  

       My work only recently started taking shape.  I have and am growing my clay ability's and my ideas.  I love to explore stories, most recently Greek mythology.  Greek mythology explains nature and names and so many other things.  It gives a new perspective.  I continue to keep trying new things, new ways of working.  I will keep challenging myself to create better work.
