This bust was inspired by Circe, a minor goddess in Greek mythology.  There are many different tales involving her but the one that inspired the bust is the story of when she cursed Scylia.  In one deviation of this tale, Circe rips up flowers that were created by Kronos's blood and uses them to transform Scylia into a monster.   When creating this form I wanted to make it appear as if the flowers were dripping gold onto the form and morphing the form as it drips down, showing Scylia's transformation.
